The new coffee fragrance has arrived and I must say it smells like a delicious frappuccino. As I am not a coffee drinker I am no connoisseur of blends, however Dax & I agreed this was a wonderful smell. Yesterday the n.m.boyd staff made the cold process soap recipe "wake up". Tomorrow it will be ready to cut up for curing. In December we sent a bar of the "wake up" cold press soap to Dax's cousin Arthur who called a couple of days after he received it. Arthur said he didn't have his glasses on when he opened the packet, so he pulled out the soap & put it in the fridge. After dinner he decided he would treat himself to that lovely "fudge" that Dax had sent. Arthur retrieved it from the fridge, salivating as he thought about how good his dessert would taste. He took a bite, it seemed awfully hard for fudge, bubbles started foaming out of his mouth and he was struck by the dreadful taste in his mouth. It took him a while to understand what had happened & why it tasted like soap. Yes! his "fudge" was actually soap .We felt bad for Arthur but think this cautionary tale emphasizes if in doubt put on your glasses. Needless to say the n.m.boyd soapers haven't stopped laughing!
