days of wine & roses

At present it is trying to rain.. Unlike the rest of the country, Northern California has had a very dry & mild season. There was great excitement a couple of days ago when finally the rain arrived. We need lots more days like that.

The creek that runs beside the property filled with water. Hooray!!
The rain filled the stream that borders our property.  Hooray!!

n.m.body soaps is excited about a new product.  It is a cold process shampoo bar... I have never made the recipe before but I am very enthusiastic to wash my hair with it.. I sliced the soap log into bars today, so it will be 4-6 weeks before I can try it. I'm not sure I can wait that long.  This soap is made with infusions of marshmallow root, and nettles. It has aloe vera juice, manuaka honey, olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, babassu oil, shea butter, cocoa butter with a suggestion of rosemary essential oil.

Yesterday it was busy at work. I looked up to see who needed help next & there was a delivery man covered by a big bunch of flowers. I inquired who they were for and he replied",Lizzie Pitzpatrick". That was ME!!!!!  Dax had them delivered at work. They are gorgeous. We celebrated with Thai food & some wine last night. It was a very fine day indeed. Today I decided to take a photo of the gorgeous roses, so I placed them on the rail of an upstairs balcony. A big gale of wind tossed them to the ground below, broke the vase, destroyed a few roses & tossed the rest around. So here is a photo, they're a little bruised but still magnificent. I'd love to share them with you too!
