Today I returned "home" in the mid morning after spending a couple of hours with a friend. I had intentionally planned the outing. I wanted my flatmate Irene to prepare her breakfast & get used to a longer time by herself. She has been itching to do this. Imagine my surprise when I found her head peeking out of the pantry, the dishes out of the cupboards, the dishwasher emptied & she was organizing the pantry. She'd had a great burst of energy & was putting her kitchen in order. Irene is like Lazarus! A couple of weeks ago she was confined to a hospital bed & now she is gently getting back into everything.
In between negotiating the dishes & some appointments I was cutting & pasting some gift boxes for our soaps.
On our way to the orthopaedic department today. What a milestone. It was the first check up with the surgeon since Irene was given the moonboot. The good news is the ankle bone has healed but the bone joining it has not. So another appointment in 6 weeks. Great news!
That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by, stay well & keep in touch,
